Great video! This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for about this program. I'm thinking of using it next year for my two will be 4th graders and 7th grader. Want to use what we've already purchased for this year, however I'm finding it quite difficult to teach them how to write without just doing it for them. 😅

Denison math has been an answer to prayer for both of my teens who struggle with math. One of my teens specifically has dyscalculia and has always struggled with math, and Denison is truly the only time she has ever felt good at math. My other teen is pretty good at math but has had his struggles, and possibly mild dyscalculia, and he has struggled with multiple curriculum since pre algebra and with Denison he finally gets it. If anyone is thinking of Denison then please take

My daughter just finished up 8th grade and she also adores creative writing - she did Clear Water Press Cover Story and she loved it!!! If you do decide on doing The Green Writer I would love to hear a review half-way through your daughter doing it.

My daughter really likes the Green writer course! It’s nice and flexible and has you start writing right away. She had done the one year adventure novel and part of Other Worlds from clear water press but she ended up finding it too structured after a while. They start with outlining your novel and write during the second semester. They were very good programs but my daughter found the green writer like a breath of fresh air after them. She also really likes the Young Writers Workshop, which has a free summit this next week that SD Smith is also apart of. Plus YWW also has a free crazy writing week (this past one was in January).

I have a quick question about the video lessons, are they an hour long videos or are the videos broken down ?

Same situation with my 7th grader last year for math. We started Denison pre algebra and she LOVED it!

Hmmmm…. To say RS is expensive every year per child is invalid. They are very comparable price wise after the initial up front cost of RS and manipulative kit. I also want to add that math SHOULD be teacher intensive. Both are (I am currently using both with different kids). Lessons at the lower levels take the same amount of time. Idk….. they are different and have pros and cons but feel these are not valid ones.

My biggest doubt is homeschooling my 2ndgrader and kingergarden while trying to maintain a WFH job, especially now that I am being forced to work as well at the same time being forced to put my children back into the school system which I really don't want to bc I know the Lord had called for me to school my kids for a while now..I am always misunderstood when it comes to me & my childrens education, everybody always tells me there better off in public school and im better off working but I do not want to be stuck in this matrix no more!! Can you please give me some advice on how to maintain this lifestyle while also being able to provide income!!?? I refuse to go back 😭😭😭 Homeschooling is not for the weak 🥲

I am a lot like you and being consistent is a struggle for me.. maybe that is why unschooling felt like more of a fit for me..But I feel like I am missing doing things with them since my girls all they want to do is to play with barbies...This is my 15 year homeschooling...more unschooling I would say. But I am going to work on being more consistent. I know it will be the best for my girls.

I know this video is two years ago, but I sm thankful for sharing this truth. Thus has been my biggest struggle not beiI don't want to be consistent but I have had to fight through many hardships and trials in my life in general with leaks into my homeschooling.

I feel we had a real scattered year as far as Group Studies went. But, I would say our mini Civil War unit (I put together myself) went pretty good and our Nature study with the Wild Kratts show was a BIG hit. My 6 year old improved a lot with his handwriting using just copy work and I would call that a hit. Also, we found a phonics program that is working called "Elementary Phonics" from Underthehome website. So 2 wins there. My 8 year old's reading really took off and that was also a win! We switched to "Elementary Phonics" for her, too and I was happy with how it helped. My 10 year old's math was a huge win she lived "Math Lessons for a Living Education" from Masters book. We had used MLLE before and then switched things up and we shouldn't have...so it was a win yo go back to MLLE.
